CA E-Trust Antivirus r8.1 installs and runs fine on Windows 7 but the downloading of signatures bombs out half way through. To get round this, search for ITMDIST.exe,  right click and run the Troubleshoot Compatibility wizard. It should then run the program as Windows XP SP2. Save this setting once the update has completed.
